Since 1903, we have been following the lead of founder Andrew Jackson Ritchie to provide access to high-quality education, regardless of a family’s financial means. Our mission is unique - and sets us apart from all other private schools. It allows us to build a community unlike any other, full of students from various cultural and economic backgrounds.

We have a 1,400-acre Campus located in Northeast Georgia. Situated in the lush Wolffork valley, Rabun Gap is surrounded by stunning views of the Appalachian Mountains. Our campus is perfect for exploring, with miles of hiking trails and a private lake for kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. Our location offers a serene space for students to be surrounded by fresh air and nature while living and learning. However, we are still within driving distance of major cities, only two hours away from Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC, and Asheville, NC. At Rabun Gap students have access to both the city and the countryside.
