The DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst - German Academic Exchange Service) is an independent organisation of German institutions of higher education. It has 241 member universities and research institutes, and 104 student bodies. The Headquarters is in Bonn, but there are regional Offices, Information Centres and Information Points in more than 60 countries.
The DAAD Information Centre Budapest was established in 2002 to advise on studying and researching in Germany and to inform students, graduates and academics through information events and other activities of the outstanding opportunities available in the German higher education and academic landscape for shorter or longer study or research visits.
