A day and boarding school with boarding for aged 11 to 18

A leading day and boarding school (boarding from age 11 to 18) on the edge of the New Forest in the South of England. Embley is more than an education. The deliberate purposeful formation of young people is our aim. The world is challenging and changing, but with the right skills the next generation, with an Embley education, can make progress a reality.

We have unlimited ambition for our children. Embley achieved the highest rating of ‘Excellent’ in its recent UK Independent School Inspectorate report. Embley has been positioned in the top 1% across the UK for value added at A Level and students go on to study at a wide range of leading UK and international universities.

We offer a traditional boarding experience with state-of-the-art teaching strategies. We run a class-leading digital learning programme. Every student has an Embley iPad and access to our digital learning spaces. We have modern classrooms with Apple technology, science laboratories, IT suites, drama and music studios.

We have 670 students at the school. Our multicultural boarders (70 students) live in the historic Manor House, once home to Florence Nightingale. Embley is based on one breath-taking site of 130 acres. Our outstanding sports facilities on site include a 9-hole golf course, swimming pool, sports pitches and two gyms. We also have a fleet of sailing boats moored close to the school and compete in international races.
