IELTS
IELTS – the International English Language Testing System – is the world’s most popular English language test. It is developed by some of the world’s leading experts (the British Council, the Cambridge University Press & Assessment and the IDP) in language assessment and evaluates all of your English skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The test reflects how you’ll use English to study, work and live in an English speaking environment. You can take the test at any of our official test centres across the world.
Study, work and live abroad
IELTS is accepted by more than 12,500 organisations in over 140 countries. Those organisations include governments, academic institutions and employers with 3,000 in the USA alone.
Get where you want to go
In most countries where English is the main language, you’ll need evidence of English language skills to apply for jobs and university courses.
Prove yourself at home
Proving your English language skills with an IELTS test can help you get a better job or a promotion in your home country.
Looking to emigrate?
Your IELTS test results will help you meet your immigration requirements. All immigration authorities that require an English language test will accept IELTS.
IELTS on computer-you will be taking exactly the same IELTS test, with the same test content and structure. The only difference is that you can choose to type your answers or write them on paper – whichever suits you best.
You will answer the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a computer at one of our official test centres. The Speaking test will still be face-to-face with a trained IELTS Examiner, as this is the most effective way to assess your speaking skills.
With computer-delivered IELTS, you will now have more test dates to choose from - and your results will be available in 1-5 days.

IELTS One Skill Retake
IELTS One Skill Retake is a new feature offering you the opportunity to retake just one section of IELTS - Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking, saving you time and money.
The format and timing of the test is the same as the section which examines the individual skill in a normal IELTS test.
If you choose IELTS One Skill Retake, you will receive a second Test Report Form with your IELTS One Skill Retake score, the scores from your original test and an overall CEFR score. You can choose whether you would like to use your old or new Test Report Form for the skill you retook.
IELTS One Skill Retake is available to test takers who have completed a full IELTS on Computer test and must be booked within 60 days of the original IELTS test being taken.
