At Lomond School we believe that balance is what drives happiness and success and we aim to deliver a learning experience which is engaging and fun. Beyond a strong academic foundation, our young people enjoy an enhanced curriculum providing enrichment and experiences beyond the classroom that help to develop confidence, respect and an outward looking approach which will serve them well in their futures.

Our Senior School pupils enjoy a broad curriculum with a wide range of subject choices, complemented with high levels of personalised support and expert guidance from staff. In S1 and S2, our pupils develop a range of interests across the creative arts, technology and the sciences, languages, and social subjects. S3 and S4 pupils work towards qualifications and the opportunity to study eight National 5 subjects. Examinations take place at the end of S4 (year 11). Our S5 and S6 pupils have the option of three pathways: SQA Highers and Advanced Highers, the IB Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Programme with specialisation through an HNC in Business; a choice which is unrivalled in Scotland ensuring that we have the right pathway for every pupil.

Home to up to 60 boarders, our co-ed boarding house, Burnbrae, has an authentic family feel and provides the opportunity for siblings to live together in the same boarding house. All our pupils are respected and treated as individuals and our staff actively support their personal, social and educational development.
