MPW is one of the UK’s leading names in fifth and sixth-form education, offering a distinctive alternative to traditional schools. Founded in 1973, its colleges in London, Birmingham and Cambridge, offer the same broad, highly flexible curriculum.

A unique teaching approach
Students choose their own paths with university foundation programmes, or GCSEs and A levels offered in over 40 subjects, taught in small Oxbridge-style tutorial groups. Each student has a Personal Tutor, who provides them with tailored academic and pastoral support.
Enter an MPW college and you will immediately sense the relaxed, yet focused atmosphere. Students are respected as young adults; there is no school uniform, they are on first-name terms with their tutors and are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves.

Outstanding results
MPW students have a consistent record in achieving outstanding results and university progression. In 2021, 63% of A level grades were A*/A. Over the past three years, two-thirds of MPW students who progressed to UK universities, secured places at Russell Group, University of London and specialist universities.
Securing those prestigious university places is our speciality - students enjoy unrivalled support in completing UCAS applications by the same experts who put together the renowned Getting Into series of university application guides.

A home away from home

MPW has a vibrant international community that benefits from interacting with the predominantly British student body.
A fantastic new boarding option is available at MPW London from September 2022. Accommodation in Birmingham and Cambridge is provided by Kensington Student Services (KSS), with facilities that provide a comfortable, safe and secure environment for students.
